Have you been able to get your hands on the very last tickets to Lowlands? Don't forget to drop by the DIY-ish, artsy-schmartsy and lovely crazy Mr. Motley tent to enjoy a fine selection of KLIK! films. The films play in a continuous loop, so you can drop in any time you want. The overarching theme is: ANIMALS and HUMANS (and everything that has to do with animals and humans). It is not allowed to kick, smack, whack, pound, rupture, stab, bomb, or in any other way harm or destroy the bipedal bunnies. Cuddling might be possible. Motley

Our favourite open air film festival is coming up again and just like last year, we're overjoyed to participate in the festival fun!

On the 9th and 11th of August you can participate in two workshops where we bring the webcomics of the illustrious xkcd to animated life with whiteboard animation and other techniques. The results will be shown on the big screen on that very same evening. If you want to join up be mindful that there's only a limited amount of space so quickly send an e-mail to:

Furthermore, we're very happy to once again have the opportunity to see the fantastic feature Mary & Max on the 10th of August and we're sure the same goes for all y'all! And Pluk will also screen the prize winning shorts El Empleo on the 6th and Skhizein on the 10th!

As we frantically work towards the next definitive KLIK! experience, we're also set to blow off some steam, punk!

We’re going to kick off the countdown to KLIK with a audioscope experience with DJ Dirkson in Sci-fi style, brain training courtesy of the Wii to see if you fit the mad scientist mold, science tests in the foyer of the Nieuwe Anita and a preview of the festival. Afterwards, you can exercise your Glutus Maximus on the dance floor while rocking out to some laid back beats from KLIK-DJ’s. The partying starts at 20.30, the financial damage is 6 € and you can find de Nieuwe Anita on the Frederik Hendrikstraat 111 in the West of Amsterdam.

So be there AND be square!

Alright, this isn't animation as such, but KLIK! is a multimedia monster and we really dig illustration a whole lot as well. So feel encouraged to drop by Pakhuis de Zwijger this Tuesday to feast your eyes and ears on this edition of What's Up! Marlies Visser and Tammo Schuringa will drop by to talk about the Illustration Biënnale, noted illustrator Paul Faassen and graphic designer Olga Scholten are also on the scene and the wacky Lamelos crew will kick ass and chew bubble gum as usual.

And it's all free of charge, peeps! Point and laugh at the crisis with some free entertainment!
