This year the selection committee of the KLIK! festival noticed an increase in the amount of different countries that submitted their animated shorts to KLIK!’s International Competitions. Countries whose animation sector is still in its infancy and which previously weren’t on the international animation map now started producing animation and not without some fine outcomes – the films in Emerging Animation Countries give an interesting, not seldom political, view on their creator’s culture.
