The Adventures of Prince Achmed is the first European animated feature film ever made, based on the fairytales from One Thousand and One Nights. This silent film predates Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves by eleven years and was made using a very special cut out silhouette technique by the female German animator Lotte Reiniger. The film will be screened accompanied by a live musical performance by the Sonja van Hamel Trio and takes place in cooperation with KLIK!’s partner EYE.
