Don Hertzfeldt, whose work gained worldwide fame through the internet, started a trilogy in 2007 with Everything Will Be Okay, which continued in 2008 with I Am So Proud of You and concluded with It’s Such a Beautiful Day in 2011. All three films screened back to back create a feature-length narrative in which our protagonist Bill goes through a life changing experience, taking the audience along for the ride. Hertzfeldt uses simple but very evocative stick figure animation together with live-action footage and a soundscape full of classical music to make you laugh out loud while expertly tugging at your heartstrings better than any Hollywood drama flick could ever hope to achieve.
