Onbekend Maakt Onbemind (Unseen & Unloved)
K1 / 11:00 / 80 min / English Our own film collector Roloff de Jeu brings a selection of cartoons that have been forgotten. From the era in which cartoons were part of going to the movies, when they were a standard practice and part of the whole show. All cartoons shown have been theatrically released, and will be presented on their original 35mm film format. A unique chance to see these films back on the big screen and discover why many of these have been forgotten. Do they deserve a more prominent place in animation history, or should they be put back to the dark archive they dwell in? Why did we grow fond of Tweety, but not of Flippy? Are Katnip the Kat and Herman really bad clones of Tom & Jerry? What happened to Hashimoto-San the mouse or 'Silly' Sidney the Elephant after their theatrical run? And "Who Framed Max Fleischer?" to quote the title of an article about two of the shorts shown? Cagey Bird / Howard Swift, Columbia / 1946 / 7:00 |

Best of KLIK! 2010
K2 / 15:15 / 75 min / English 2010 was our biggest, most bad-ass edition yet. And to be honest, we could’ve filled four separate Best of KLIK! 2010 programs and still would’ve had a hard time to choose. Rest assured that this program contains some of the finest animated fare ever to have graced Kriterion’s silver screen. |

Best of KLIK! 2009
K2 / 17:00 / 75 min / English One of the themes of our 2009 festival in was politics and therefore this Best of KLIK! program contains some strong, edgy viewpoints, including a rather blasphemous (and hilarious) take on Jesus. |

Best of KLIK! 2007
K2 / 22:15 / 75 min / English The first KLIK! festival was strongly rooted in our Dutch/Belgium origins, which is reflected in this smattering of Dutch and Flemish flicks with some international gems mixed in. |
