KLIK! proudly supports the Mopti Foundation
At the opening ceremony we’ll be handing out the KLIK! Mopti Audience Award.
Mopti is a city in the West-African country of Mali, near the border of the Sahara. Dutchman Willem Snapper started the Mopti Foundation in 2007 with the goal of bringing aid to the local population. The Mopti Foundation does this by cultivating communal gardens and installing irrigation systems.
Willem also screens films in his own back yard, attracting up to three hundred visitors a time. As there is no cinema to be found for hundreds of kilometres around, that’s a unique event in its own right.
For the fourth time he showed a specially curated KLIK! program containing films from this years competition. The audience voted who will be the winner of the KLIK! Mopti Audience Award.
